A false debate: voluntary vs coercion
Culture
-=-

Conservatives like to say “There are only two ways to organize society, coercively, through government, or voluntarily.”

They’re pretending we’d “voluntarily” get along without government. Really there’s always going to be force & what matters is electing someone who uses that force wisely.

If libertarians had realized that we’d have Al Gore instead of George Bush:

“the real news is 2004. The libertarian vote for Bush dropped from 72 to 59 percent” (72% in 2000)
